ENAs early as 2008, a “Playwork Certificate Course” was introduced from the UK. The experts were invited from the UK to teach in Hong Kong. Later, a ladder of study comprising an induction course, certificate course and diploma course was developed with localized input. Participants included social workers, teachers and parents. In recent years, we have focused on developing the training for teachers of early childhood education settings so that play can be realized in schools / kindergartens and benefit more pre-school children.
