Awards

  • The “Outstanding Partnership Project Award” was presented by the Hong Kong Council of Social Service in 2003
  • PlayScope was honoured as one of the top ten works in the category of Public Space under the “Asia Pacific Interior Design Awards” presented by the Hong Kong Interior Design Association in 2010
  • The Park Tsz Lane Park project, which engaged our Play Environment team, was awarded the HKILA Silver Award 2012 under the landscape design category by the Hong Kong Institute of Landscape Architects

  • The same campaign was awarded the “Recognition of Excellence and Impact Award” by the International Play Association in 2017

  • The Paediatric Nephrology Team of Princess Margaret Hospital, including our Hospital Play Specialists, was awarded the “Outstanding Staff and Team Award” by the Hospital Authority in 2017

  • The “Outstanding Creativity Award” was awarded for the “360 Play in Taipo” campaign by HSBC HK Community Partnership Programme in 2017

The Tuen Mun Park Inclusive Playground Project which Playright was appointed by the Architectural Services Department as Play Consultant has won:

  • The Gold Award of the Hong Kong Institute of Landscape Architects Design Awards 2018
  • The Nominated Award of the Architecture for Social Innovation of the Hong Kong Institute of Architects Awards 2019
  • The Merit Award & the Special Award (Social Integration) of the Architectural Services Department Award 2018


  • On 29 November 2021, our Executive Director, Ms Kathy Wong Kin-ho has been honoured as one of the 35 unsung heroes featuring in the commemorative book – Coloring Every Child’s World with 35 Rainbows, launched by the Hong Kong Committee for UNICEF

Awards won by the Cha Kwo Ling Promenade over the years:  

  • In the Award 2021-2023 - Excellence in Public Development, organized by the Hong Kong Institution of Landscape Architects, we won the Gold Award  
  • In the Green Building Award 2023 — New Building Category: Completed Projects – Institutional, organized by the Hong Kong Green Building Council & Professional Green Building Council, we won the Grand Award & Special Citation on United Nations Sustainable Development Goals  
  • In the Human & Social Inclusion 2024 and Industrial / Infrastructure 2024, organized by the Hong Kong Institute of Architects, we won the Special Award and Merit Award of Hong Kong respectively 

  • In the Greater Bay Area Urban Design Awards 2024 – Completed Project –Urban Framework, organized by the Hong Kong Institute of Urban Design, we won the Merit Award 

  • In the HKIE Outstanding Paper Award for Young Engineers/ Researchers 2024, organized by the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers, we won the Outstanding Paper Award 

  • In the Universal Design Award Scheme 24/25 – Buildings and Sites with Recreational, Sports or Cultural Purposes, organized by the Equal Opportunities Commission, we won the Special Recognition Award & Gold Award  

Recognition
